Privacy policy

KATE GRANA is a series of NextCTR LLC. This notice is about the personal information we collect when you browse this website, buy from it, or write to us, and about what we do with it. The store and everything around it, the pages, tools, features and services, are "the Services" below. The store runs on Shopify, which supplies the platform behind the Services. If anything here conflicts with our Terms of Service on the subject of personal information, this notice controls. Please read it; using the Services means you have read and understood it.

The information involved

By "personal information" we mean anything that identifies you or can reasonably be tied to you. Depending on how you use the store, that can include:

  • Who you are and where to reach you: name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, email address.
  • How you pay: card details, the record of each transaction and its confirmation, all handled securely by our payment gateways.
  • Your account: username, password, preferences and settings.
  • What you do here: the items you view, add to your cart, buy, return or exchange.
  • What you tell us: whatever you include when you write to our team.
  • Your device: device type, browser, IP address, and how you move through the site.

Some of it you hand us yourself, when you order, open an account or write to support. Some arrives on its own, through cookies, pixels and similar technology as you browse. And some reaches us from the companies we work with: our ecommerce platform, Shopify, and advertising partners such as Google.

Why we use it

  • To run the store and make it better: taking payment, fulfilling and shipping your orders, looking after your account, shaping what you see here.
  • For marketing and targeted advertising: Google Analytics, pixels and remarketing cookies let KATE GRANA advertising follow what you have browsed and bought, across Google's network and other platforms.
  • To keep things secure: confirming it is really you, protecting checkout, spotting and looking into fraud.
  • To talk to you: support replies, and the transactional messages an order needs.
  • Because the law asks: to comply with legal obligations, answer legal process, and enforce our terms.

Who else sees it

  • The people who deliver: the logistics partner or carrier carrying your parcel gets the shipping and contact details it strictly needs to reach you.
  • The people who run our systems: Shopify, and the vendors handling payment processing, analytics and cloud storage for us.
  • The people who show our ads: platforms such as Google, so targeted advertising works. To keep your information out of targeted advertising, use the opt out links those platforms offer or your browser's global privacy controls.
  • If the business changes hands, or the law requires it: as part of a business change such as a sale or merger, or to satisfy a legal obligation, enforce our policies, or protect the rights of the people who use our store.

On Shopify in particular: Shopify hosts the store, so what you give us passes through Shopify's systems, which process it to deliver and improve the Services; Shopify may also use information about how you use our store to offer features across its merchant network. Shopify's own consumer privacy policy, including your rights over that data, is at https://privacy.shopify.com/en. Where we link out to other platforms, we are not responsible for their privacy practices or security; please read their policies.

Children, security and how long we keep things

The Services are not meant for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a child has given us theirs, contact us and we will delete it. No online system is perfectly secure, but we use industry standard measures to protect your data, and we keep personal information only for as long as it takes to run your account, fulfill your orders, satisfy the law and settle any dispute.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to correct anything that is wrong. You can opt out of your information being processed for targeted advertising, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. You can unsubscribe from promotional email at any time with the link at the bottom of any message. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights, and we may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as our practices or the law change; the current version is always the one posted on this page. Questions about this notice, requests about your data, or a complaint: support@kategrana.com.
